How does one split an RCA line-out into two RCA line-outs with the Zero DAC?

Hi Guys,

This is my 2nd question on head-fi, and you guys have been so helpful i really appreciate it :) (and im becoming broke too)  I hope someone can help me.

Anyway, I just realized how pathetically bottlenecked my setup is. im playing flac through a sr325is driven by my ld1+ with the best opamps and tubes, high quality rca cables, but with crappy onboard lol.

So I plan on getting the Zero DAC really soon and hopefully, it'll be pretty much a night and day experience 8D

But from the pictures i've seen. The Zero only has one RCA line-out (one red and one white).

The problem is, i would like the DAC to feed the same uncompromised analog signal to both my Edifier speakers (which has its own stand-alone amp), and my Little Dot 1+ amp which is used to power my sr325is.

I don't have to use them both simultaneously, but i don't want to have to keep replugging the cables either.

Do i have to buy some kind of splitter/switch/preamp for this set-up? What is the most practical solution to rectify this problem whilst achieving a balance between price and sound quality degradation (if any).

Hope someone can help!

Cheers,

Ron

You can get a RCA selection box at Radio Shack for $20. Plug the DAC into it and you'll be able to send its signal to four devices. I used one until I got a preamp. I know Radio Shack might not be prestigious, but I had no noise, no distortion and no crosstalk with it.

You can, of course, spend a lot more for one with "audiophile-grade" parts or build your own.

You can also check the equipment at http://www.phonopreamps.com. It's all good and inexpensive.
