iPod HD to CF -- HELP!

Hi, guys,

So, I've decided to change the hard drive on my iPod to a CF. So, I've been doing some looking around, and here's what I found:

1. The CF card

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004AM6SQY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

2. The CF to ZIF adapter

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FD1D2C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A1UCLUF7KW7AYG

So, my questions are:

1. Will these parts be sufficient to convert my iPod into a compact flash? (assuming that I can open it with a screwdriver)

2. Is the CF card compatible with an audio source?

3. Any special procedures or instructions as to how I can install these?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Which iPod are you modding? If you're doing the iPod 5G/5.5G, you may want to check out these links.

Hi, thanks for the links. However, I'm modding the 4th gen iPod, specifically the iPod photo.

First off, does the 4g have screws? If it doesn't, order one of those battery replacement kits to get the spatula-like tool to separate the chassis. Even if you don't need the batt now you can still use it later.
