Beats & Other Overrated Headphones on Craigslist

For all the people insisting on selling them on CL, I figure we should have a place to highlight the worst around us.

Here's the worst one I've bothered to read all the way through:
Quote:
Beats Pro - $319
These headphones will change you life!!! They are so epic and you cant hear anything but your music and the best part is nobody can hear wht you listening too!
FMI 217 316 0743
Go ahead and call him. I'm curious to see what he does when one of you guys in Europe calls him up to say you'll buy them

But really, I'd like to see how bad some of the other headphone ads you guys have seen around are.

I'm not sure which is sadder: The horrible grammer and outrageous claims or the fact that some nieve person will buy them.

$319 is still a helluva lot better than retail. Granted, you can go get a HD600 for that much.

The best part is that people feel it important to post about headphones they hate/disrespect at headfi where threads like this pop up every week and always by new members to the effect that the headphone they hate gets even more attention.

New posters to Headfi: you don't have to bash a non-HF friendly headphone to earn brownie points here.

I'm not saying Beats are the only ones I hate or think are overpriced, quite the opposite. A lot are overpriced. Beats are just the popular overpriced ones. Would you rather I find the funny ad for a Steel Series Siberia V2 headset and post that? Is that more along the lines of an overpriced, underwhelming headphone that isn't hated by everyone?

I'm just using Beats as an example because they're everywhere. I can easily go find claims of other phones amazing abilities on CL and post those if this is just going to grab attention to me as someone trying to impress you guys.

People get easily agitated by threads like this because we see the 5,000 times a year and random posts even more so. Sure we'll all make a pass at the Beats, Skullcandy, iFrogz, etc., from time to time, but bashing a random person trying to sell something on Craigslist or eBay or Amazon or Taco Bell is old and immature. Now then, bashing people who like headphones or music that you don't like with witty and attractive comments is where it's at these days!

If you can find an ad of someone saying "OMG, the K1000s will make you super handsome and score you all the ladies at the club!" in a for sale then that probably warrants a new thread and many a laughs shall be had... Actually, just add it onto this thread.
