opamp's for K701's? (X-Fi titanium hd)

Anyone modded this card with good results?

just ordered it and interested in modding it and need a bump in the right direction of choosing "matching" opamps for it against a pair of K701's....basically want a tight and uncolored sound, mainly for mixing and production-

trying to gather some info but theres mostly towards sennheisers and diff soundcards, will possibly get a bunch of opamps and try different configurations and can report back if anyone is in the same boat.

amps i gathered that are good up til this point are AD797B's, LT1028's, LT1128's, 1363CS8's, 1364's and OPA2132P's...

another thing i wonder about is it possible to increase the gain on the headphone out on this card? is it even possible to add an amp to it?? how about a 1/4" headphone jack lol

read something about people replacing opamps for the headphone outs, not sure if its doable on the titanium HD?

Farnell only sells to companies?  Are you sure?

AD797 and OPA827 are some good choices there, you may want to consider ADA4627-1B, but like OPA827, it needs to be soldered to a 2x1 soic-to-dip adapter.

4627 is analytical and transparent to death.  It has the most extended treble, so you might find it too bright with K701.  OPA827 is mildly treble-forward, so that may also be an uncomfortable combination with K701.  AD797 mildly lacks treble definition and sparkle, giving it a "dark" sound, but the treble is extended and nuanced regardless, so that one may work out for you with K701, but on the downside, it is mildly colored.

I've tried LT1677, it is mildly colored as well and I thought it was okay overall.  Kind of musical.  Skip OPA2132.  LT1364/1363 is also mildly colored.  OPA1641 is another analytical one and not very colored. You may love it and it isn't too bright either.
