Would getting a cheap speaker amp + the woo WEE be a better choice then going with a Stax offered amp (say the 727) or the Woo Ges for the stax omega II? If so what would be a decent cheap speaker amp I might find on audiogon... Thanks!

Cheap speaker amps produce a lot of distortion not to mention that converting that signal to something usable by Stax will also produce a little distortion so no it would not sound better. The WEE was likely designed for people who already have class A amps and want to get into Stax, but even this I would be skeptical of it competing with proper Stax headphone amps.
