I was searching through ebay and I found this. http://cgi.ebay.com/Upgrade-Cable-SENNHEISER-IE8-Red-Angel-IE8-/120702683477?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item1c1a70c955#ht_1576wt_1139 . These look like beautiful cables which are relatively cheap. What do you guys think? Do you think they will improve the sound of the IE8's dramatically? From the pictures, do you think the cable is tough and durable? Do you also think it is safe to buy this cable without any reviews that are out currently?

He doesn't state what the wire is made of, the wire's quality/purity, the gauge of the wire, etc. etc.
There's no information here at all. I wouldn't do it.

I have the nightstalker cable made by them. It's made of silver plated copper wire. It gave the bass more punch but not bloated. The treble were clearer but not annoying. Some would say it lifted the veil a little bit. But I was really surprised by the sound-stage, which got even broader.
The downside is the durability of the cable. After 6 month of use, the connector loosened a bit and had to be replaced. But kudos to the vendor who exchanged them without any further complications.
Summarize all points up, it is definitely a worthy upgrade cable.
According to their description, the "Red angel" cable will have further improvements in the bass and treble quality. From the pictures, it also looks like the cable is a lot sturdier. Personally I would give them a chance.
Cheers
Allen

Yea I've heard improvements with the night stalker cable too. I just wish they used better connectors for the ear pieces and for the cable material to be more flexible. I'd gladly pay another $20-40 for that.

My nightstalker cable eventually got quite soft and flexible. But still no comparison to the stock IE8 cable, which is IMHO still the best.
