Here is frequency graph of my old 5way Ref and my new Ultimate version. There isn't much difference on paper but in my ears Ult's sound a bit better.

Actually there is some difference, Ult has almost 10 db increase over 6-8k Hz if the measurement is accurate enough.

What is considered a "good enough" piece of FR measuring equipment? I have a friend that has a Vibro Labs Veritas and I'm wondering if it'd give an accurate / close representation of the FR of my se5ult

I had Reference version and belive me i can tell where is the difference but it's not that much to change SE's house sound sig of 5way.

Is it possible to drive the SE 5ways in balanced mode? The cable is exchangeable, but a private connecter?

it's a standard 2 pins, no problem to change it for a balanced one

what are their sonic differences ?

 

 

too bad than only SE reshells them (and at a HUGE price)
