Was wondering if there are any suggestions for something "cost effective" and ergonomic?

I did a quick search around and I think there was mention of Toxic and Helix cables but that's about it (and that they are able to cater for the longer connectors - 4mm).

Or should I just go with stock? (Only problem is, I found the memory wire on it very uncomfortable)

Thanks in advance.
If you have the old sockets (my SE5 are reshelled with the new sockets) I might be able to help you as I have one. PM me.

Thanks Shakur1996. Will check them out. They do look like a viable option.

And Mimouille, PM sent.

Thank you.

Bucket, I had Hybrid and Cooper Series on loan and Forza cables looks very good and Hybrid Series added more clarity, more air and wider soundstage to my 5ways.

Is it that good? Any chance to play around with that super thin Linum cable? I recently got it (loan from my friend) and tried with my SE5way but the difference was little to none, I am afraid to buy it now. I heard a lot better cables (silverfi) but I can't afford to buy one right now, those are some expensive ones.

Which one did you use Ozan ? Music or BaX ? With the EM32 or H8pro the Linum BaX  changes many things and I clearly prefer it to the stock cable. Top and bottom are more extended, details are more present and the resolution is better, the overall is more clear/transparent. Yes, I'm satisfied :D

In addition Linum has an excellent after sales service. The left channel of the Bax was not working after a month of use. After exchanging mail with them I sent them my cable for analysis and they sent me a new one. They also send me the Music and the Vocal so that I can review them :)

I used the BaX version. Also another thing I might add, I am not really a big fan of ergonomics actually. Seriously I like the stock cable more when it comes to ergonomics.

The differences I heard was mostly on the low region, giving it more body and make it "boom" slightly at the higher tone but it didn't really convince me. Mids were pretty much the same or I am not golden ear enough to hear the differences. The biggest problem was the highs. It reduced the air and sparky touch.

All and all, the differences were extremely small and not really worthy for me to go and buy one.

IEM2 from SilverFi seriously hook me up very good but I couldn't afford an expensive cable like that. Of course there is no need to compare both of them either, it is just not fair to Linum.

I found Linum "OK" cable with some goods and some bads. If one likes its ergonomics I can see that it can be a good option considering the price and customer service.

AmberOZL, as you maybe noted from SilverFi cables thread to my ears cables doesn't change the sound much. Of course with some cables the diferrence is easily heard but this is not night and day difference.
Saying that the first thing which was noticeable with Hybrid FAW cable in comparison to stock cable was wider soundstage, more air and better clarity (but without sounding harsh) and at the same time bass and PRaT were not altered. When I came back to stock cable the soundstage was less wide, the sound was more congested and suprisingly the sound was a little bit harsh.

I felt this way regarding the stock cable vs the gold cable from Tralucent (old version). With the original cable I felt the mids were a bit harsh and edgy. Very revealing but not as smooth at I'd like. The gold cable fixed that. Gave it a more romantic presentation and smoother across the board.
