901 works well with se5 too. My current se5 has all the bass rumble I need.

Lee, relax ;) I will let you know (lie to you) what version your se5 sounds like if I can tongue_smile.gif. so you can enjoy your se5 without any bad thought.

Lee, really you gotta relax man. I have one of the newest SE5way's around and it sounds like a killer. I am not sure there can be an improvement over it. Only side step is possible, I believe.

I'm reading so much good things about these cIEMs. Some even like them more than the top models from hidition and jhaudio. Has anyone here tried the SE3pro?

First of all, I don't think those five bores would even fit into my tiny ear canals, and I really like a neutral sound signature (true neutral, not etymotic, upper mid peak neutral). I'm not even close to having enough money for them, but it's fut considering nonetheless.

My experience with the Pro 330 has shown me I have trouble with even two bores in silicone.  Sighs.  But you know what they say, narrow ear canal huge down under.  It's all a trade off.

lol'd. Mine has average size, not big not small (hardly big enough for SE5way). Should I be sad or happy.

Btw, Sinocelt shouldn't hear that joke, he is well known with his giant size Heir Audio 4A ciems happy_face1.gif

Well, there's no need to brag! wink.gif

Does your wife enjoy the SE-3s?

Listening to The Doors 24bit/96k vinyl albums with my SE5way monitors,

I have never been feeling that good I think, this is just heavenly.

I feel like, as long as they are working I won't need another ciem all my life. I can play with the source and amp but another ciem? Not in the near future that's for sure.

Sound is so rich, so musical. Every detail is there, separation is excellent, soundstage is 3D, the music is airy, it is so lively. Resolution is extreme, so transparent. That's definitely a reference ciem.

It sucks that some times I have to take the ciems out, you know, I have to sleep and all happy_face1.gif

PS: but the very nice bass rumble is definitely missing on my new pair..

Or maybe was it the rumble from my already sold 3rd anniversary? Can you confirm lee once have gotten hold of your SE5?

What's the output impedance of the 3rd anniversary?

This is all achieved just from the sansa? You're going to have a swell time with the right dac/amp setup!
