AMP/DAC for Denon AH-D2000? - Page 2

I keep hearing a lot of great things about the Nuforce Icon-2 as well as the E7/E9 combo. Is there anyone who has both of these or has experience with both and can make a recommendation? There's a part of me that would go E7/E9 if only because then I have a bonus portable AMP but I know I'd use it very, very infrequently so the Icon-2 is still sort of leading because it can power my speakers and my headphones, which I would do on a daily basis.

So the question comes down to sound quality.

Are they active or passive speakers?  The E9 has a line out for active speakers and a Pre-amp out for passive speakers

Those are nice, never seen them before.  Buy yea, the E9 has a line out that I have hooked up to my active speakers, these ones:

and the line-out is very clean, a noticeable improvement from when I used my e7.  You won't need any pre-amping capabilities from a headphone amp if you have active speakers

It's odd you should mention those, they are the other set of speakers I was considering when I bought my Aego M's. I ended up going with these because I'd owned a set back in London and loved them so very much.

You can get them over here in the US it's just extremely hard and they tend to run at about $50–$80 more than they would in the UK.

I'll definitely see what the comparison between the E9/E7 and the Icon-2 are in terms of reviews.
