need help finding a chassis mount 3.5mm female jack

just ordered this.  description made me scared thinking its some sort of rca jack, but clicking on the datasheet indicates its a 3.5mm female headphone jack

Yeah, it's a little annoying how Newark seems to think "phono" and "phone" plugs are the same thing.

 

I made a similar order from them this week, except I got the 4 contact TRRS version:

I also saw this cheaper one at almost half the price which seemed very similar so I ordered it too for comparison:

The shipment arrived today and as far as I can tell the two jacks are physically identical in every way. Right down to the "EST" logo and the "JAPAN" marking. Pretty weird.

i have the ath m50 and i want to do this to them but theres like 3 wires and there black red and green and i dont know how i would connect them to the chassis?? HELP??

a multimeter is your friend.

I know the job is all said and done...however, I use this jack for all of my chassis 3.5 stuff now. I know the picture isn't very good on Mouser...but from personal experience, it's a really nice jack. Gold plated. Threaded isolated plastic housing. Solder lugs.
