I will mostly be listening to rap and hip hop music, with the occasional rock song thrown in. Some bass would be nice only if it doesn't drown out everything else and is not muddy. I used to own a pair of Sony MDR-XB20EX buds but they broke. To me (not an audiophile) the sound quality was pretty good but the bass was muddy in the more heavy songs. Anything similar to these if not better would be perfect.

Brainwavz m2's would be a good choice.

You can get the Klipsch S4's on sale for $50 right now too.

Both are good choices and have a decent amount of good quality bass.
