quick update, i got the yulong in the mail 3 days ago and it sound good, all of my music sounds more full, it tightened up the bass and brought out the mids more in my ath m50's (I dont have audiophile ears yet, so i cant hear or comment on every bit improvement) and its crystal clear so for the moment im very happy:). it also has a lot of power, i have my pc at 1/2 volume and still don't turn up the amp over 1/5 of the way up.  i guess once i settle down and my ears get used used to my current set up, or feel the need for an upgrade ill get a pair of HD600's or something in that range

pc volume shouldn't matter as now the volume is controlled strictly by the yulong.

I think traditionally the best setups but the headphones as the top of the list (spend the most here), then the source, then amps (if required), then cables.

well i think i should fall into that when all is said and done   HD600 = $300ish < yulong u100 (for dac) = $235 < LD MKIII = $200
