Big list of speakers, are any of them good?

Hey there all, I'm really quite new to the audio world, especially in regards to anything that doesn't involve headphones.

I'm trying to get a decent home speaker setup going, and right now I'm running optical from my computer into my Matrix Cube into a Harmon Kardon PM665 out to a pair of Sensui SP-X8900s.

It sounds nice, but I feel the weakest link in the chain is my speakers and I was cruising the local/somewhat local craigslists and I saw this ad posted for "VINTAGE SPEAKERS". Is there anything here that stands out to anyone as being a good deal/upgrade?

ADS L400 SPEAKERS $150
INFINITY REFERENCE FIVE $250
AR 2A $125
PARADIGM 3SE $150
SNELL E3 $500
BOSE INTERAUDIO 2000 $35
BOSTON ACOUSTICS HD5 $20
VINTAGE JENSEN MODEL 6 (15 IN WOOFER) $150
Design Acoustic ps10 $150
HH SCOTT S-19 $40
BOSE 601 SERIES 1 $125
JBL S1 SUBWOOFER $125
INFINITY SM-122 $200
INFINITY RS 2001 $100
INFINITY RS 525 $150
KLIPSCH KG 3.5 $175
ADS L620 $200
B & W DM 601 S3 $500
JBL LX55 $150
JM LAB CHORUS 725 $500

Any thoughts? Anything worth taking a look at?

I'd take a look at the Snell, B&W and the Infinity pairs. IIRC, the Infinitys have the EMIT tweeters.

The Snell and B&W are a little more than I want to spend right now, but the Infinity RS 525 are looking interesting to me, and maybe the Paradigm SE 3 or Klipsch KG 3.5.

The Paradigms are decent for the price, the KG 3.5 would be good if you want more impact and dynamics.

I have a pair of Scott S-19 with the original drivers that I have used continuously since 1975.  Low wattage (rated at 48 w/channel), but if you don't overdrive them they last (obviously!).  Very balanced sound with plenty of bass, but not the thump you get with many more modern speakers.  I listen to everything from opera to heavy metal.  My sons are standing in line for these when I croak.  $40 is a give-away; I wouldn't sell mine for that price - too hard to find something as good to replace them.

As an update to this, I bought the DA PS-10s for 30 bucks cheaper than what he wanted. They are incredible, everything I could ask for for the price. Their imaging is pretty wonderful. Thanks for the help all!

Those PS-10's are good sounding speakers. Did the down-firing woofers have any foam rot or had they been re-done at some point?

My cousin has had a pair of these since they were new and are VERY nice.

Small footprint, full range sound and they sounded great out of every one of his Onkyo receivers he's owned through the years.

The only thing I'd say to look out for is the foam surrounds will rot out and will need to be replaced.

I asked about the condition of the foam, the guy selling them had refoamed them literally 3 months ago. They're brand new and perfect on both the woofer and mid-woofer, which is totally awesome. For $120 bucks, I feel like I got a good deal.
