OK, so this really has nothing to do with listening to music, but rather with shooting.

 

My idea is to take a set of over the ear, electronic hearing protection, and convert them to in-ear.

 

Basically, take this:

And separate the processors from the "headphones" part.

 

I could store the processors on my helmet, on my body, etc... and have it connect to a set of in-ear, noise cancelling headphones (preferably custom molded with detachable cables: maybe Unique Melody) via 3.5mm jack. 

 

Now you may ask why? Over the ear sucks under a helmet and it sucks when wearing glasses, not to mention when wearing glasses the arms of the glasses can break the seal and compromise the protection. 

 

Yes, they do make products like these, but they retail in the $1k+ range and sometimes they don't offer an AUX input for communications/music. 

 

Does this sound feasible? Does it eve make sense outside of my head?
