Does the Beyerdynamic website have a list of authorized online merchants?  I know the Sennheiser website does, but not sure about the Beyer site.

Yeah, I just looked out of curiosity, and found the same thing.

Woo Audio is an authorized Beyer dealer I think, but they don't have 770s.  Only 880s and 990s. http://www.wooaudio.com/products/

I would imagine HeadRoom is authorized.  They have 770s in 32ohm, 250ohm and 600ohm.

Edit: Amazon Warehouse Deals has 4 used pairs @ $171.99 apiece.  That's not a third-party, it's run by Amazon.  I would hope that Beyer would honor warranties on items from such a large-scale vendor.  It'd be a damn shame if they didn't. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000F2BLTC/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1302553114&sr=8-1&condition=used

I've been discouraged from them enough to not worry about it now tbh.

If they were 200$ 2 days ago and I found an auth'd seller it would be cool but, too little too late.. (or too much too late).
