Grace M902 vs Burson 160D

I am looking for a desktop amp and my computer will be the source. Which one do you think is the best as I can get them both for about the same price. My headphones are Ultrasone Ed 8, Denon 7000's, AKG Q701's, and HD-800's. Also looking for a high end Grado, I miss my GS1000's.

Also which is th e best way to connect the MacBook Pro to the Amp/DAC? I have an M2Tech HiFace, USB, and I have an optical output via TosLink.

Thanks,

Shane

Check 6moons audio reviews. They compared either HA-160 or HA-160 with M90x

Thanks, read all of those.  Looking for some board member opinions as well.

Have you checked both HA-160 and HA-160D threads?

Yes, some great reviews and the M902 has great reviews as well.  I know the M903 has just been release and I am wondering if that is worth about $600 more than I can get the 902 for.

As always a difficult decision. I decided to get the Burson instead of anything else, because it has universally good reviews.

Generally Burson is more known and regarded here, and you have the right matches for it (Akg, sennhs. denon) there are members which have similar setups...and also one of my favorites 160D > HD800's wink.gif

I have tried with USB and it works great.

Not only good reviews, they have kikass heaphone amps. I have used the HA-160 with different headphones and it can drive almost everything.

Let us know what you get. wink.gif
