Sennheisers 598. AKG 701 or 702

I plan on buying one of the three, unless you guys have better options(sound quality and overall look) has to be appealing as with the three I have in mind. If you guys know anyone selling any of these for under 170, please notify me?? Thanks again y'all. 

 

MORE OPTIONS WOULD BE FABULOUS.

How about a used Sennheiser HD-600 for around $200? It's one of the best out there.

You might also turn up a used Beyerdynamic DT880 around there, too.

A used AKG K-501 or K-601 might be a good fit, too.

I like those much more than the headphones you mentioned.

Well the AKG's will give you a lot more detail than the Senns, but will require much better amplification. The Senns need a decent amp too though. The Senns are probably a safer pick as an all-rounder, but where the AKGs excell, they will walk all over the 598s. My .02

The AKGs are amazing. A little to pricy for me as a current college student. Might plan on selling them. But the sound quality they provide is amazing. Plus, I've gotten so many compliments by other student audiophiles. And the non-audiophiles love the appearance!
