New Headfi'er looking for advice

Hi Guys,

Have always had semi decent IEM's - I had some triplefi 10's and then some W3x, recently got into this site and got an iQube and then some HD25-II's (i travel alot - like 90% of my life is on the road) At the moment i use the cans for plane travel/train travel/passing time at the hotel and then the IEM's for  when im walking around..at work

I was thinking of getting rid of the iPod for a player that will do FLAC files? what do people recommend?  I dont want to spend more than 100GBP so that takes me outside of cowon territory. I was thinking of the SANSA CLIP+ what do people think of that? Will it work fine driving my IEM's?

Thanks

Jonni

Sanza Fuze (I know, not the clip) does a fine job of driving the JH13s, though the interface isn't that great in my opinion.

Just do ALAC on the iPod if you really want lossless - it's good to go from there,...

I personally won't be bothering upgrading from an iPod anytime soon unless there are hi fidelity players coming out with BOTH decent batt life and large internal memory.

If I were you I'd rather upgrade my iems > amp > interconnect > headphone/iem cables.
