I recently bought a nuforce udac 2 a couple of months ago and i have been having this problem that randomly the udac will stop working. usually i just turn it off and back on and it works. but over time its been getting worse and worse. sometimes if i change the usb ports it will work (the ports are not broken, other devices work in them). So yea how can i fix this, or do i need to call nuforce? Please help, i really hate not being able to listen to my music mad.gif

Check out this thread from around Dec 1st onward.  You might find your answer.

I skimmed through it but i only see the problem addressed, but no solution. is there a specific page that you were talking about?

hey so I've had this issue with both the udac-2 and my previous emu. this was simply solved by moving the udac-2/emu to a usb port on a separate controller from all my other usb devices.

if you don't have a separate usb controller you can plug into, i've seen recommendations to use a powered usb hub. or you could also try an add-on pci card that has usb slots.

Are you on a Mac or window machine?

what did you try exactly? I don't simply mean trying any other usb port. Some motherboards will have more than one usb controller, so I am saying that you should plug in the udac to a separate usb controller apart from all your other devices. is that what you did?

ohh... this hub has its own power source right? just double checking all possibilities.

dang.. that doesn't sound very good. short of trying the udac on another computer, you're probably best off contacting nuforce. good luck man.

You should start reading the link I sent you from December on.  You'll find a thread that will help you with your issue.  It has to do with the setting in your AUDIO Midi Setup.
