I have been lurking on the board reading alot of reviews and have decided to take the plunge and purchase my first good quality headphone + amp + dac setup. From my readings I decided on starting with the Sennheiser HD650 as my headphones but I am having trouble finding the best AMP/DAC Combo to go with them. I will be sourcing from quality sound files on a computer. I am looking the $300 or so range for the DAC and the $300-$400 range for an amp as I was considering the following items
DAC:
HeadRoom MicroDac
Zhaolu DAC
Amp:
Schiit Valhalla
LittleDot Mk IVse
I was kind of leaning towards the Headroom DAC + Schiit Valhalla combo as this seems to have good reviews but I guess I was just looking for a sanity check as a good starting configuration or if there might be a better option in this price range. I am open to any company these were just the ones I did the most digging into. Thanks in advance for any help.
