Hi all,
I've trolled through several threads looking for some good ideas of cable material to make my own IEM cable (have JH16s). I can't get those molded pins anymore cause the guy in HK says that they have stopped manufacturing them! Anyway, I have purchased some 21 and 20 awg sterling silver pins to see if they will do. As for the cable itself, I remember seeing someone post something about not using coaxial cables for audio, but didn't go into any detail. Because these are IEMs, I know I want something flexible, non microphonic and I'm after something in pure silver, since I bought a lune cable for my TF10s a while back and they definitely sound better on my JH16s than the stock cable (less noticable for the TF10s)
Here are the options I'm currently looking at:

Getting some of that 0.1mm diameter pure silver wire and running 3-4 strands up a teflon tube (0.5mm diameter) to make my own cable. Would I have to litz braid the whole thing or can I just thread them all in side by side without insulation between them?

silver arm wire either will do, but the 225 version allows me to cut it in half for each strand to give me a cable ~110cm long which is fine for me, so I would only need 2 lots of that instead of 4 lots of the other one.

I can make a 6-stranded cable from this - 2 to the left, 2 to the right and 2 grounds.
Suggestions and input welcome and wanted. Cheers.
