Xitel AN-1

Thread Starter

I'm sure this has been discussed before but just as I was about to go and start looking for portable DACs, I found my old "PC Link" for my mini disc player in a drawer, dusted it off, plugged in USB on one side and my RSA P-51 Mustang on the other...Results, silent noise floor and still that great RSA sound.

This is perfect because now I don't have to go and buy a mini DAC for my laptop.  Of course this is Head-fi and, say I still wanted to look for a good portable DAC to pair with my P-51, any recommendations?

It has been discuss before This usb dac has interesting properties The dac sound signature change depending on your system volume. for a flat sound try maxing out your system volume and using the volume control on your amp for a warmer sound set system volume at 50%

If you feel brave you can bypass the opamp inside and add some coupling capacitors for better sound quality.(soldering required)
