Hello There,

Real long time lurker! Longish post but i dont have a whole lot to do :)

A bit about me:

im 25, Married no kids, no pets (soon to change)

technical engineer - deal with Audio and Visual on a fairly large scale.

enjoy playing guitar/drums/piano, rebuilding cars, motorsport

Have always liked to have halfway decent IEM's (i know i dont compare to you guys!)

A few years ago after research done on this forum i got some Triple Fi 10's (i think thats the name) i had them for a good year then i lost them :( so i bought a replacement set - then shortly after doing the mod where you swap L and R and flip them over one of the ear buds fell off and so i needed a replacement.

Up came the UM3X again after some reviews on here - I lost my first set - LOL and bought another and i have had those for 2 years now (maybe more)

So recenty i got interested in the whole thing of headphone amplification - i have a new job and a travel alot, planes and trains and then obviously the boring hotels! On my trips im using the iPad a lot or the iPod.

So i decided to make a bit of a upgrade in the form of a headphone amp.

After some research i decided that i wanted to get one from inside the EU so i went for the iQube with a LOD cable.

I also switched to comply TX tips for my UM3X's

Purchased that and it arrived last week and im now waiting my HD25-II's (again poor mans choice but im on a budget)

I love the UM3X's for travel - forget the sonic qualities for now - they have really good isolation (still picking up on the lingo) so make for peaceful journeys however on flights i noticed they do get uncomfortable hence my decision to go for the HD25's. Also the UM3X's dont present an awful lot of bass (i dont want loads but a bit more would be nice)

So this is my first foray into Head-Fi equipment - i like this forum its not too serious but the serious stuff is there. some of the other forums are a bit too full on this is more of a community feel! things like the pokemon thread are hilarious and what makes for a good forum - variety!

some questions:

1. where can i get a replacement driver for my triplefi's?

2. did i make bad equipment choices?

Thanks!

Jonni
