Has anyone compared the DT 770 80-Ohm to the ATH-A700s?

DT770 will be bassier and more refined to a degree, won't it?

Hi, Old thread but i've had the DT-770's for over a year and now just bought the ATH-A700's. The ATH-A700's are very forward, the highs on them are excellent. I'd say its like having clarity on the upper 80% of the frequency spectrum compared to the DT-770's. The DT-770's are very bass heavy and seem to drown everything else out, the upper frequencies seem to hide behind the bass. I like them both but another plus are the ATH-A700's are more comfortable with the stock earpads although I plan on getting the leather ones for them to try those too.
