Good evening,

This is my first post so go easy on me please.

Does anyone have an idea how much I should sell my SR325i's for? They are about four years old and have less than a 100 hrs use (long story) and they are the gold 50th edition.

I am from the UK by the way.

Your help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

The gold i's are becoming collectable already I would say. They do seem popular on Ebay when they pop up. Having said that I dont think you'll get what you paid for them, it will be a few more years before they are worth more than new 325is's. Possibly £280-90 buy it now price or you could start the bidding at £200 and see how that fairs.
If you are selling them on here and have the original box with photo's etc try £300 you never know!  There's more hardcore Grado fans on here than anywhere else.

Thanks for the reply.

The only negative thing is I don't have the original box as the wife has a "chuck it if it doesn't move" fetish.

I may take a punt on Ebay and see how they go.

Thanks again for the reply.

I have seen a gold SR325i recently on ebay go for $210 usd with a box and a grado 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. The SR325i's condition wasn't perfect; the buttons had visible signs of wear but other than that, it looked great. You can probably get more than that if you're in UK selling within europe.

Thanks I think I'll go down the ebay route. I absolutely love the Grado's and have owned a pair since 2001 but sadly my HiFi has been sold off and all that remains are the now lonely cans with only an iPod for company. I really want them to go to a good home and get put to the use they deserve.

Thanks for the replies everyone and keep your eyes peeled on the bay.

Kindest regards

Be careful in regards to the eBay fees.  I recently sold my 2 week-old pair of SR225i headphones for a "Buy It Now" price of $175.00 (U.S. $$).  I just received my invoice for the eBay sale and it amounted to $19.00 (U.S. $$).  Plus, take into account the PayPal fees and I set a "fixed" shipping rate for USPS Priority mail.  However, with the insurance and delivery confirmation, I lost another $5.00 on the shipping charges.  In hind-sight, I would have kept the headphones after realizing how much I was soaked ... considering I sold them (and the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter) for about $50 less (with taxes) than I paid for them.

I'd seriously consider listing them on a site like this first.  If a sale doesn't happen in 2 weeks, then consider paying eBay to handle things for you.

Doesn't that invoice include the listing fee? If you chose several photos and/or listed in more than one category it can get expensive.

Yes they are on there now.

I realise it can get expensive to sell so I keep the details to a minimum.

I just want them re housed and if that means taking a small hit on them then so be it.

If I come away with at least half of what I paid then I'll be happy(ish). A mountain bike is high on the shopping list and the funds will bump up my budget.

Anyway we will see.

Cheers everyone
