LittleDot MkIII + Beyer DT990 250 ohms? Need owners advice

Hi Guys,

I have the Beyer DT990 paired with LittleDot MkIII.

I'd like to know if u guys have to turn the volume way MAX to get a decent sound?

I played with the gain settings; apparently even at gain 10 i need to turn it pass dial 50/100 around 70-80 to get a decent sound..

Is that normal~?

No way that is normal.   Maybe the volume of the source is way too low???

I listen to mine at no more than 9 o' clock position.  Anything more than 10 are deafening loud...

It depends on what you consider loud really.  The Little-Dot MKIII is an OTL amp and tops out at ~350mw.  I do find that I listen above 50% volume a lot when i'm using one of my OTL amps and my DT990-250.   My Little-Dot I+ on the other hand can deliver almost a full watt into my XB700's at 24ohms.
