Hi all! First of all , i'm new to all this stuff... I have a pare of Beyerdynamic DT 990 premium 250ohm and some time ago i realized that i need an amp for them.
As my budget is not so big , i wanted to ask my friend (elecronic enthusiast) if he will afford to built a class-a amp.
He said that its possible, and thats the result :
He said that he used Burr-Brown chips and it will drive 600omh headphones as well.
He charged me 200$ for that 0_0 !!!!
When i put it to use, i was very disappointed with the bass spectrum of beyers... the hights are ok, mids too... But there is simply no bass...
My sound card (m-audio revo 5.1 ) features SRS funcion with bass boost. With SRS the bass is ok but not in all spectrum...
When listning the "Puscifer - Indigo children (JLE dub mix)" the first bass line is rattling at all volumes... :(
Is a feeling that bass is hiding somewhere in the mids, messing with them... I dont feel the kick in drums...
The sound dosnt have air...
He is still waiting the money... But i dont know if its worth to pay for it...
Maybe some of ya know the thing well. I would appreciate an advice.
