Just curious about this.. where to obtain cd's at the 96/24 quality or above, thanks.

 Regular CD's don't do 24/96 only DTS CD's, DVD/DVD Audio or Blu ray do 24/96.

I see. Well, where would I get a DTS Cd, etc. because I know they're out there

You mean.... those DVD-As and SACDs, which are indeed high resoultion (and a lot of HD downloads use them as the source).

 

You are not going to get them at retail. I think last time I've seen best-buy ever carry SACD or DVD-A was 2007. Try Amazon or Music Direct.
