Unique Melody Merlin - 5 Driver Custom Hybrid - Quad BA + DYNAMIC Driver

This has probably been long awaited, but here are the first pictures of the mythical Unique Melody Merlin.

It is a five driver full shell custom, with quad balanced armature drivers to take care of the mids and highs, with a single dynamic driver to handle the lows.

These will be up for sale soon, with an RRP of $780USD including shipping. They are available now for pre-order.

The inspiration behind the Merlin was the re-shell SF5EB.  Being able to start from the ground up has mean that UM have been able to develop something rather special.  I say, if dynamic bass and space is what you want...we have a winner.  As for the IE8, we don't recommend it at all, especially now we have seen what a properly designed hybrid can do.

Correct, this is the vent and it is non adjustable.  Isolation should not be affected.  We love the placement of it...it means we can still have some awesome looking faceplates without a big ugly hole in it.

You can request what ever you need, though we strongly recommend the recessed sockets.  The fit is very very secure with Beat Audio custom made cables for our recessed sockets.

Try Jaben or Stereo, not 100% sure there.  Likely that their demo units will have flush sockets too, as recessed is a relatively new option for us. Our recessed sockets accept UM, Westone, the old UE sockets and JH cables.  If you have any more cable questions, feel free to email us...we need to keep this thread on topic!
