This has been a little side hobby for me for a couple of years. I used to rip a couple of live tracks from a live DVD, play them for a while then erase them. Now I somehow am starting to get a little more into it. I'm now sorting the tracks away with identification and keeping them. Even from the start I was excited to get really good sound quality from the DVDs. My software rips MP3s super fast, the other FLAC and Wave choices take more time to rip. I would guess I'm using the most basic software around and feel happy with the results.
I have read past posts in Head-Fi about EAC and other very complete rip tools. I just thought I would start this thread to see if other people out there were doing the same and how the results were.
I use at the moment DVD Audio Extractor 4.5.5. Sometimes I will change the files from FLAC to Wave then to Mp3 depending what use I have for them. The wave files get made into Lossless aiff with I-Tunes. The fact that { Don't laugh} Ashampoo Music Studio #3 will do just about any type of sound file modification fast and in huge quantities with out a glitch has me hooked.
Is anyone else using any other method of DVD audio extraction?
I know Ashampoo was very basic years ago. Any Head-Fiers using anything else to modify their files?
www.dvdae.com This rips em.
www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/.../Ashampoo-Music-Studio-3 This does modifications in bulk.
