I've tried a few portables with my Grados (80, 225, HF2), and haven't found one in that price range that's much of an improvement over the PA2V2.  Maybe a Meier to improve the separation?

Yeah, I'm really looking for a non portable, HF2 is certainly a non portable right? It's between that and the LD1+

Schitt Asgard seems to work very well with Grado too.

I personally using udac2 > LD1+

how do you like it so far? I think that's what I will use as well. Worth the cash?

Yes, less than $150 including delivery for the LD I+ is worth it.
Further more you can do opamp & tube rolling to find the sweet spot that you like.
