I received my mk III in the mail yesterday. I was stoked to start using this unit. I read the manual and checked the tubes to be sure they were seated properly. Everything hooked up and ready to go I switched it on. It made a mild buzzing sound like many of my tube amps do then the glowing tubes went dark. I checked the fuse and it was blown. I replaced the fuse and switched it on. Nothing happened. Fuse blown again. This happened four more times. I've contacted LD and they've been pretty good about responding but I'd really like to get this amp working without sending it back to china. Anyone have any thoughts on what could be wrong? There is a pretty strong odor of burnt rubber. Thanks!

I wouldn't even think of trying to do a self-repair of a new amp. LD makes a quality product but no company is infallible. Just send it in for a warranty repair/replacement. I know you are itching to start enjoying your new amp and this must be terribly disappointing but the reality is you have a defective unit from a company known for good customer service. Let them handle it.
Best of luck!
