Forgive the formatting of this post. For some reason I don't get a cursor in the text window and I can't start a new paragraph by pressing enter. I get a cursor for the first few seconds, but then when the menu toolbar appears, so does my cursor. Further, I can't go back into previously typed text to edit. I can only enter text at the end of my text.
Anyway, I was recently told that Sennheiser has managed to convince ODU from selling the connectors used on the HD-800 to anyone other than Sennheiser. I did a little research a while back and was not able to find any design or utility patents held by either ODU or Sennheiser covering this particular connector. That being the case, there is no protected intellectual property involved here. That leaves open the possibility of producing a custom, HD-800 compatible connector. Has anyone looked into this?
I was also told that Sennheiser has threatened to sue anyone who does. Can this be verified? Because without a design or utility patent, all Sennheiser has is the deep pockets to effectively engage in what would amount to a harrassment lawsuit.
Ok, I was able to go back and edit my post after the fact and clean it up. God I hate this forum software.
