We just released our CT7, and are quite happy with the performance of the dual drivers, a jump to 20 may have been a bit hasty. Either way, glad a lot of you had some great laughs, and keep your ears to the grindstone for the CT30 coming our next fall!

I was expecting 20 driver IEMs in like 15 years.

I have to say, for an april fools prank, the CT20's came out looking fantastic. Were those BA's just a bunch of rejects thrown together?

Oh snap! 30 drivers....

The sad thing is, I think some company may very well produce a 20+ driver-iem. We're already at what, 8 per earpiece in the JH16? Anything more than 2 or 3 per earpiece is just getting annoying.

Making of the world-famous CT20 Custom Wireless Hybrid custom earphones:

1.       Find an ear large enough to fit 10 dual armature drivers into

a.       This was done by using an NBA player’s ear who stand 6’11” tall

2.       Cram 10 dual drivers into the earphone while still managing to actually place tubing on nearly every one so it might actually work

3.       Throw a massive inductor in there to act as a low-pass filter for allowing the drivers to go as low as 10Hz

4.       Throw a resister in there to balance the frequency and fill some of the excess space

5.       Try to convince people it was photo shopped using video from an iPhone

The custom was built by none-other than Bill, our lead engineer. As you might imagine, we all had quite a few laughs when he emerged from the lab with this aural monster. It’s heavy, it looks insane, and it’s full of incredibly powerful, expensive dual drivers that we used for testing and tuning when developing our SA7’s.

Again, glad a lot of you got some good laughs out of this as we did.

Haha thanks for the laugh, I actually thought this was real until I read that you could hear 5Hz or 30kHz.

Maybe it's just because I'm a headphone geek...but this is the best April Fools' joke I've seen in years:)
