Amazon Cloud Player - Experiences?

Has anyone tried the Amazon Cloud Player yet?  I think I will give it a shot later this week.  In the meantime if anyone has any thoughts or tips, please share!

I don't think I would need this since I subscribe to Rhapsody and don't "own" that much music. Since I like to listen to a A LOT of music and a variety and keep updated on whats new buying that amount of albums would cost me thousands of dollars especially since three family members share my account!!

Heres some alternatives I've gathered from reading comments on Engadget.

Create your own streaming server using subsonic.

Use a cloud based back-up storage like jungledisk to access your files from anywhere. It also automatically syncs folders you ask it to on your computer to the cloud.

and to quote a few Engadget users:

"Canonical's Ubuntu One (http://one.ubuntu.com) launched the same music streaming service six months ago, is available globally on both iOS and Android and supports more music formats."

"if your computer is always on like mine.... then you can stream all your music to your android phone wherever you are.... using audio galaxy..... Streamtome for iOS....."

"since this Amazon Cloud doesn't support iPhones "use iSwifter or jailbreak and change Safari's user agent to match the Mac version."

or for $99 a year use mobile.me and stream anything to any computer or phone which Apple has had since 2000.

also look into AudioBox.FM and Grooveshark. and Spotify (Overseas only but ways around that)

Theres a good starting point for alternatives if you need cloud access. Google any buzzwords cause I am not explaining all of them here. Yes lots of partial info here but its good stuff ;) I'm still learning too :)

PS To use Amazon Cloud Player on a cell seems dumb. I think its easier to load on an sd card or keep internally on a phone than use bandwidth.

BUT I am getting Virgin's $25 unlimited data plan with LG Optimus V Android phone soon but I'll be using Rhapsody and Pandora so this was is all useless...Hope somebody got something out of this post...
