Been a srsly long time since i listened to my cans..Been listening to speakers for the past few years but got back to my cans recently.
I currently have 2 cans, an AKG 701 and Beyer DT990 (600ohms).
Been using a Darkvoice 336SE to run the cans. The 701 sounds fabulous on the 336, but i would like to purchase another amp for my vinyl/laptop setup, which brings me to the question..does anyone have any experience driving the DT990 (600ohms) on the Vahalla?
The DT990 sounds not too shabby on the 336 right now but i reckon the bass needs to be alittle tighter, with the midrange being more upfront then it is now (but then again, that could be the DT990's character).
I reckon i'll throw in my RS-1s into the mix (once the busted driver gets repaired). And perhaps a Sony SA-5000 since they're so cheap right now.
Apologies if i sound like i'm rambling ( i know i am), but it's been a long time since i last used my headphones/amp so my questions might not come across as succinctly as i would like them to!
