Audio Technica ATH-770COM Headset
Will Ship To: Anywhere
Putting this up for sale. I don't think this has had much press around here except for a few mentions on threads. I think most forums over in Japan and Amazon.jp give this favorable reviews.
Got this earlier this year but it's closed back, too isolating for my needs during gaming, I need an open back style (mostly play MMOs). Probably used it not more than 8 times and then kept it up in the closet. This is very close in design to AT's M line-up. The housing looks very close to the M30, but the pads look like the M50 style (the better pleather). I haven't had either of those to compare to but have owned the AD900 and A900LTD, and this does have a similar signature AT house sound. I was driving it from my Audigy2 card and it runs fine, didn't have a better source/amp to try it with.
This gives the Sennheiser PC350 a run for it's money imo at its price. Not sure how the mic is with that one, but this one has a flexible metal one, and the quality has been great so far (compared to the old Zalman I had). I've had a few other headphones that I've tried, you can check them in my profile. If you need a comparison against one of them, I'll try to reply as best as I can remember. I unfortunately only have the KSC75 currently (lol) to compare it to.
$100 shipped US/Canada.
The cheapest online right now is audiocubes at 129.99 + shipping. Other specialty retailers have it for $160 - $190.
I can ship overseas as well, but you'll have to PM me so I can look up a quote. The item is being shipped from Canada.
Trades: Like I said, I need an open back headphone. I'd be interested a straight trade for a K240 (MKII or S, need low impedance), a cheaper Beyer, maybe DT440? but not much of those around. Not sure what else. I can't use any of the AD series (because of fit - ear-pads, rather than the sound).
I have plenty of feedback here from the old forums: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/171539/brn80
Feel free to ask me any questions ! Thanks
