I've had this Musiland Monitor01 USB for over a year now and its an absolute pleasure to listen to and use.
Now that thats out of the way hopefully someone can help me out here... I used to have an almost identical problem with a USB M-Audio Transit.
So I decided to use my Asus laptop and the Monitor01 as an HTPC source... Installed MPC-HC, AC3 Filter, and set the output to the Musiland Monitor in the output settings. Started a movie and instantly it locks on to the DTS bitstream and life is great. Try changing to another movie, and now all I get is screeching/garbled sound. Try going back to the original movie that worked with multichannel sound and now that is doing the same thing.
I tried uninstalling media player classic, ac3filter, the musiland drivers, and reinstalling the whole lot, nothing.
Mind you, the Musiland works perfectly with Foobar2000 and KernelStreaming for music of all types, but if I try to get it to pick up a multichannel bitstream, I get either silence or crackling garbled sound.
How did it work the first time, and now regardless of the number of restarts and reinstalls I cannot get it to work?
For kicks, I installed XBMC and set it to the Monitor01USB with no downmix and it just plays silence.
