VHF-1 amplifier

Hello head-fiers, i opened this thread to present an amplifier designed by an italian person, Alessandro Fiori, that really like electronic stuffs and headphones.

I don´t understand nothing of electronic and i asked to alex if it was possible to share this project on head-fi

alex say yes. this project is free of course.

i will post link of the schematic diagram and phots of mine(my friend, the same that have built my b22, is building one balanced vhf-1 to me)

How does it compare to your B22?

hi, i  have not listen yet.

soon i will post my impressions and the differences with hte beta

in the vhf-1, the power increases with the impedance.

i think that with the impedance of 32 ohm the power output is 200 mW, with senn akg etc around 800mW-1W

hello, yesterday i have listened the vhf-1(unbalanced mode) with the edition 10.

the amp is very musical, with a natural reproduction of the instruments and a good headstage.

from this point of view, i don´t regret much the beta.

otherwise, this amplifier don´t have the body and the huge power of my beta.

i think that the vhf-1 is not good with headphone like the nw´s orthodynamics or the akg k-1000, but with normal headphones has no problem.

i still have not heard in balanced mode but for now with the ultrasone i liked
