Oh you will have to be a swimmer.  Recon is only 1 SQ or CWS First class to even be selected for indoc.

 

And yes, DI is insane.  Not only making the cut but the lifestyle.  Prepare to cough up blood and change your voice perhaps permanently.  The amount of energy required to be a DI is immense.  I hear DI boot camp is 2-3xs worse than recruit training.

 

Plus you can go SEALs, AF Para-Rescue, Green Berets from the Marines too.  I saw some Airmen doing the PJ indoc and one of them was doing Marine Corps push-ups sounding off and all.  I was laughing my ass off.

Yeah I already know I'm gonna have to learn. 

But SEALs don't appeal to me like the Marines do.

I understand how hard being a DI could/would be, but I'm willing to do it.
