record player setup with powered speakers

i already have a pair of audioengine a5's, and could be getting a music hall mmf-2.2 player at a very affordible price. would i still need a receiver? i also have a nuforce icon HDP but considering i got that for my headphones while my the a5's are around 10 feet away from me that i use with a wireless transmitter, i'm not quite sure how i'd incorporate the nuforce while keeping my wireless connection.  playing records would be a much more novel, casual thing where as i still need the a5's and nuforce principally for my digital media. just looking for ideas on how to better wrap this all up.

For any record player you will need a phono pre-amp, since the output level is very low. Check out http://www.phonopreamps.com/
