Audio-gd Fun Version B or Musical Paradise MP-302?

Hello Headfi,

I'm trying to decide between these two amp/dacs.

Audio-gd Fun Version B

Musical Paradise MP-302

I'm upgrading from a PA2v2, my primary headphones are beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80ohm Version.

The Fun has all the inputs and outputs I need and the A version of it seems to be well liked but is quite a bit beyond what I'm comfortable with spending. The B version is within my price range but I have seen very little commentary on it and it's significantly cheaper which means it's probably quite a bit different.

The MP-302 has one positive review from Skylab but nobody else seems to have tried it. It's very cheap and has almost all the functions I want aside from a toggle switch between preamp out and headphone out.

if anyone has any experience with either of these components I'd greatly appreciate the input.

Thanks.

I finally went with the Musical Paradise MP-302, I'll provide some impressions when I get it. Doesn't seem like many people have tried it so hopefully this will be useful to people looking at entry level Dac/Amps.

I went with the Jv5 amp-DAC from ALO. How has the MP-302 doing as far as sound. There still is not any reviews on this rig. Could you enlighten. I was still thinking about getting.

I've been using using the MP-302 since april and I'm pretty happy with it. I've been using it to power a set of dt770s. It's a much better amp than the PA2v2. It's hard for me to comment on sound quality since I don't have much to compare it to. I know I like it.

I was very deep into researching audiophile grade headphone equipment when I finally decided on this amp/dac and the dt770s and I haven't went searching since. I still check head-fi.org on occasion but this setup has satisfied me.

I'd recommend the MP-302 to any newbie audiophile.
