Has Sennheiser lost it??

Just wanted to look at the website www.sennheiser.com.

Was rerouted to www.sennheiserusa.com.

No way to choose!

When I tried various other options I always ended up on the US website.

This is information restriction like in China. The must have lost it completely.

When I want to see what is new i always check on www.sennheiser.com first as the US guys
don't always sell everything here. That is already almost illegal. Who are they to decide what we can buy?

Thanks to amazon!

And now this. Probably and old Eastgerman running that now.

They tell us what we can look at!!!!

Write to the CEO in the US and in Germany! OR BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!

Had that idea myself. Leads you to the address and the website www.sennheiser.com.

And then ????

You are back again at www.sennheiserusa.com!

This is the most unprofessional way I have seen that.

They just want to hide the new products and lock us out from information on them.

Heard before that they have a problem with that!

Actually it takes you to the international site, I think that they're getting a common look to the websites, but if you're at the link from Aflac, you've got a different drop-down menu for languages than you find on the USA one.

Sorry guys, but I don't know where you are looking.

Are you in the US?

Because whatever you try you always end at www.sennheiserusa.com.

Just check f.i. the press releases. Only US releases.

The US site looks like the international but in the left upper third it says Sennheiser USA.

try this

http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_de.nsf/root/kopfhoerer-private-audio

All the pages do look exactly alike.

Geeze, this is easy. As soon as you get on www.sennheiser.com, click on one of the top menu options like "Professional Audio" before that pop up appears and you are in. Close the browser and restart it if the pop up appears too quickly. BTW, use this link to check out new headphones from www.sennheiser.com: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/professional_headphones-headsets

Hi, my system seems to be too fast. Whenever I access the site the box is already on there.

When I use the links you provided I can access the respective sites. But when I try to go to
another page it sends me to www.seenheiserusa.com. Same with www.ennheiser.de.

the headphones page is different from the US page.

Why do they do that? Why don't they do that like other companies?

It seems you're failing at the internet. When I go to the Canadian website, it takes me to the Canadian website... When I go to the German website, it takes me to the German website, no redirects or anything. If you go to the American website, go all the way to bottom and you will see "Sennheiser Worldwide" and it will give you a list of applicable countries and once you click on those, you'll be taken to another page with a link to the national page for that country and you can then select language from the top right of the page. I've tried this on both Firefox 3 and 4 and no issues.

At least Sennheiser hasn't started producing a fluorescent green headphone.

If that happens, I'll know for sure that they've lost it.

As much as I wish you were right!!

In the meantime I have asked a friend who is a deep into networking to check for me.

He found that providers who are identified as US based through their IP get the page rerouted to the US website.

If the provider is not identified as US based it still goes to the international website.

He tried Safari, Firfox, Opera etc. All the same issue.

If you try to go direct to certain webpages (see above) you are fine. But others lead back to the US site.

As he explained this is done by many companies to direct their customers locally to the right site.
But he had never seen such a "hardwired" solution.

Others give you a page to choose your  region, country and offer tostore this as default or show it everytime again. www.canon.com

I can connect to their Canadian, British, French, Italian website without problems.

It is just www.sennheiser.com that does not work.

Cleaning the cache, reseting the connections: all fancy IT work was done but did not help.

Mind control at work, sorry for the Sennheiser fans out there (which I was until yesterday).

DJ GeorgeT: That is why I want to look at the German website. Most of these will not make it to the US.

And BTW: this is actually the old HD200 from 2002 in new colors.I still have (and cherish) the original.

Great headphone, ver easily adjustable even to my big head.

If you click on the the link I previously provided, then you will be in the GERMAN WEBSITE HEADPHONE PAGE of www.sennheiser.com. This link will not redirect you to the USA website as long as you stay away from the Home page. Here it is again in case you missed it http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/professional_headphones-headsets

I am able to beat the redirection notice box because I clear the cache and restart the browser.
