Best low end computer speackers?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what you guys think is the best low end computer speakers in the price range of 50 - 60 dollers, thank you !

Edifier R1200 Multimedia  , or this http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-TRIPATH-TA2020-Stereo-Amplifier/dp/B003P534SW/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1301083875&sr=1-4 with some cheap passives.

Try to find some old passive bookshelf speakers someone is throwing out. Often you can pick them up at a garage sale or on craigslist for dirt cheap. The same goes for an old receiver/stereo amplifier you can usually pick up for nothing. Pair those together and you have a great sounding used setup you can pick up for probably $50 or less.

 

To be honest there are not many good options in the < $100 speaker market. Most computer speakers in that range (i.e. logitech, creative, etc.) are utter trash. If you are willing to expand your budget a little bit the Klipsch promedia 2.1s and Swans M10s are both great budget speakers that are recommended here a lot.

Might need to spend a few more dollars.

Are you looking for 2.0 (stereo), 2.1 (stereo+sub) or 5.1 (front,center ,sub, surrounds) ?

$70 for Logitech X-540 (5.1)

$80 for Logitech Z506 (5.1)

2.1? not sure

Edifiers are a great choice if you can find them where you live. I love my R1600T Plus ($70~90 I believe. Not sure, since I bought them here in Brazil).

 

I find them as pleasing to listen to as the Sennheiser HD555, in some cases even more.
