So, I'm recycling an enclosure, and I was thinking of putting the Dayton Ref. 12's in there. Specifically, RSS315HF-4. But! I've never done this before, so I don't know what's what.

Given:

Vb=1 cu ft

Vas=85.1

Qes=.58

Qms=3.12

Fs=25

Qts=.489

Calculated:

Qtc=3.12*sqrt((Vas/Vb)+1)=4.5374 w/no poly fill.

EBP=Fs/Qes=43.1 which is less than 50, and I read that this means it should not be ported.

I'll let you guys look at the crunched numbers:

F3 and Fc just look REALLY bad for sealed. My understanding is that Fc should match up with Fs (I've assumed this, I could be wrong) and that for very obvious reasons, F3 should be below 20.

So I have some questions. Is the Vb shown here as 160, an effective size, or an actual size? Is there a better speaker for this box?
