Looks so good Eric!!!!!!!!!

Where are the new speakers?

I have about 100 hours on my Vandersteen 2Ce Signature II's and the low end slam with the SLI-80 is awesome. I am running in Triode mode with this tube set:

Raytheon RK60 Rectifiers with 2359Glenn 5U4G adapters

Genalex Golden Lion KT88's

JAN RCA 6SN7GT/VT-231 (Courtesy of dminches! Thank You David)

Genalex Golden Lion 6922

The HD800's and HD650's are both very happy.

Stavros, I have them in front....Here they are next to the M&K 150's which I use for Home Theater:

I got the stands yesterday and filled them with sand. The new speaker cables came in today (Blue Jeans cables). The system is set for now.

Very Nice, Happy Listening!!!!!!!

So I was enjoying some nice Cassandra Wilson on the Cary when the right channel began to have static. It go worse really fast.  I shut the amp off and thought about things for a minute. I had a spare Genalex Golden Lion 6922. The driver tube seemed the likely culprit. I replaced the tube and viola' ! all is well....Not bad picking out the one out of 10 tubes to replace for a first burn out.

Back to Cassandra!

Whew.  It could have been worse.

Too true. Fortunately, I am done burning in my 2Ce's. It could have happened overnight when I was not here. Sounding sweet as ever now!

That was lucky Eric.

Do you have access to a tube tester?

What happened to Steely Dan?

I heard a jazz version of Do It Again by Gare du Nord last night.

I do not have a tube tester. One of these days I should get one.

Do it Again is a favorite. I'll have to put it on today!

I have never heard a jazz version. That would be interesting.

dminches, I got to hear the Model 7's tonight...I got to meet Richard Vandersteen too!
