How to wire these NOS Sprague Vitamin Q's

Sorry but I am a noob with these NOS capacitors.

I bought these NOS Sprague Vitamin Q .47uF 400vdc capacitors over ebay. They only came with one pigtail so I can't tell if they are axial or radial.

How do I install these in a circuit? Do I just solder a wire at the other end? What is the threaded nut used for?

These are type 81P

The threaded nut is supposed to have a solder lug-washer under it, similar to what you find for the ground connections on an RCA jack.  Just try to find a solder lug washer that will fit at the hardware store.  If that's impossible, you may be able to solder directly to the nut, but I'm not sure - haven't had to fool with those type of VitQ's myself.

Edit: I guess I should've added that it may very well be that you simply curl hookup wire under the nut as if it's a terminal and tighten down.wink.gif

Thanks Tomb!

Confirmed with a multimeter that all caps are working in spec!
