No Owner Manual for Fii0 and a Bit Lost

I purchased the Fii0 E7 and Fii0 E9. I am using the E7 directly with my iPod and Miles Davis Tribute earbuds. Should I go from the headphone jack on the iPod to the E7 or from the pin-connection to the E7?

Also, I don't understand how the E7 should work with the E9. When the E7 is docked and the E9 is connected to my laptop, should I connect my earbuds to the E7 or the E9?

If someone could post a picture to help this old guy out, I will be very grateful. Thanks

For best results with your iPod, get a FiiO L1 or L3 LOD cable to go from the iPod's dock connector to the Line-In on the E7, and then connect your headphones to the E7's headphone jack.

When using the E7/E9 together with your computer, connect the USB from your computer to the back of the E9, and connect your headphone to the headphone jack on the E9.

I have followed your instructions on the computer connection, etc. But, the Bose Companion 5s I have seem to preclude the E7/E9. Do I need to disconnect the Bose speakers?

No i leave my speaker amp connected to the E9 and i can use my headphones, make sure the E7 is switched on when it's docked in the E9.

Unless you have a release date E7 like I do, which keeps the DAC functioning even when the E7 is off. ;)

Don't forget to go to sound options in the controller panel and change the default playback device to USB DAC instead of speakers or whatever you have it set to. If your music player is open at the time you make this change you will have to close it and reopen it for the change to register.

That was all it was! Thank you very much. I am one smiling music lover at this very moment.

Wait. The newer ones have to have it on for the DAC to work? Bahahaha. Guess I was spoiled by a launch model.
