Now they are having a killer sale, so I'm thinking of going for one of the higher end ones, but still don't know about the quality. So many, don't know to choose from the XSR330PRO, XGF500PRO, A330PRO, Ultraphile, or other.  I'm sure with such a large line and huge turnover of models, most any will be a good pick for metal, prog, doom, etc.  However, it's the durability that's still a concern with the above.

I'm loving my ultraphiles right now. I got them 10 days ago but hadn't had the chance to observe them in detail since today. Having listened to them with different kinds of music, I can surely say that they are as good as my td100-IIs. I don't rank ultraphiles lower than them. People here says td100 and xe200 series surpass the other ones but I don't agree. I don't have time right now to explain why I think so. I will do that as soon as possible unless nobody else does. By the way, I don't know if it changes a lot after burn-in but they are not burned in yet. I will share my thoughts after burn-in and I will have had enough time to judge.

Only makes me more excited to get mines :)

Anyone else get a tracking number from Thomas? I asked him to provide me with one in the Comments of the Paypal transaction as well as logged into xears.com with my customer ID and password, and sent an e-mail asking for the tracking number. No e-mails from him yet.

I already had got the e-mail saying they were shipped. Got any advice anyone?

I got the tracking but it was basically useless. It shows up when it shows up. It took 11 days on the east coast first time, 8days for the second one.

The Ultraphiles are now €20! I've not tried them though and don't plan to but surely it would be worth that price + shipping?

Ultraphile wins at comfort too and there is no driver flex. At first impression, Ultrafiles sound better than Xe200pro, A330pro and TD 3 V2 pro. Impressions are bound to change.

I think XE200Pro are great for Classical...they give a nice heft of weight underlying the music, the balance is quite pleasing to the ear, and they are more neutral than expected. The obvious thing that sticks out is the bass quantity - nothing you can do about that, but it doesn't completely ruin anything. A nice edition to my IEM collection :)

Short comparison of XE200PRO, TD 3 V2, Ultraphile and  A330PRO

XE200PRO Walnut - The most balanced of the ilk. Airy, intimate sounding and good extension. Bass quality is better and it doesn't bleed much. Great all-rounder. Driver flex present.

TD 3 V2 - More bass compared to XE200PRO, to me it's more boomy. Lesser intimate sounding. I'd pick XE200PRO over this for better bass quality and control. Driver flex present.

Ultraphile - Laid back midrange and distant sounding. Slightly longer bass decay. Less emphasis on treble. Easy listening for longer time. Great for dubstep. No Driver flex. Comfortable angled nozzles.

A330PRO - Veiled sound. Best to avoid.

Though XE200PRO Walnut edition I received has some channel imbalance issue. Right plug sounds more louder than left one.

I'd keep XE200PRO and Ultraphile if given the choice.

Bass quantity was considerably lesser with the default tips provided. I get a better fit with MEElec Bi-flanges.
